What are the installation instructions and precautions for trimmer potentiometers?
Trimmer potentiometer is a kind of potentiometer which is more precise and more expensive than ordinary potentiometer. Of course, it is different when it is used and installed. Many people do not like to find people when they install precision potentiometer in order to save time and convenience. They speculate on themselves. Of course, there are also many people who understand this very well. They are all tempered by time. Today, I would like to share with you about the installation of
bourns trimmer potentiometer instructions and cautions, to understand these, for everyone to install their own is also very helpful.
Installation instructions for trimmer potentiometer
1. The
trimmer potentiometer is mounted by fixing the bracket, and then the servo axis is connected with the moving object under test.
2. The trimmer potentiometer is positioned on its own mounting platform, fastened on the metal plate with screws, and then joins the servo shaft to the center of the revolving body.
3. The input and output of trimmer potentiometers are analog DC voltage signals, and the output voltage is determined by the input voltage (e.g. input 5V, the output of the whole range is: 0-5V; input: 10V, the output of the whole range is: 0-10V, and so on).
Precautions for installation of trimmer potentiometers
1. When the servo shaft of the
bourns trimmer potentiometer is connected with other parts, it should be noted that the axis line should be maintained on the line from time to time (including the working state). If the axis line tends to exist, it is suggested that the universal joint or bellows should be used to avoid the bending deformation of the axis of the precision potentiometer and damage other parts, thus affecting the normal operation.
2. When the potentiometer is on, be careful not to measure the voltage of the precise potentiometer with the resistance, flexion and current of the multimeter.
3. For linear trimmer potentiometer, the application of over range should be avoided to avoid damaging potentiometers.
4. For the above reasons constitute the shortcomings of trimmer potentiometer, consumer factory does not serve as warranty.
5. The external wiring of the
bourns trimmer potentiometer should be welded at the waist slot of the lead-out end, and should not be welded at the top of the lead-out end as far as possible. When welding, ferrochrome greater than 45W should be used, and the welding time should be less than 5S. In welding and not cooling through, should not pull the wire, so as not to brush wire or the entire lead-out end is pulled out, so as to fall. The welding time should be shorter and the flux vapor should be avoided from entering the trimmer potentiometer through the lead-out end (green), which will cause the vapor to accumulate on the surface of the resistor element and make the equivalent noise resistance become worse.
6. Before installing the
trimmer potentiometer, the user should not disassemble or modify it without authorization (including tearing off the trademark, stopping processing on the shaft and shell, loosening the screw, rotating the position of the fastening ring, etc.). Precision potentiometers should be placed gently in the installation process to avoid damaging the lead terminals.
7. When the trimmer potentiometer is connected to the line, it should strictly follow the representation of the trimmer potentiometer.
8. Corrosion of trimmer potentiometers should be prevented by solvents and corrosive gases. Prevent metal chips or other powders from entering trimmer potentiometers.
9. The recommended current of the trimmer potentiometer is recommended by 2mA. The maximum does not exceed 10mA.
