The rotation angle and output resistance of the multi-coil wire-wound multi turn potentiometer are linear, exponential and logarithmic, as shown in the figure. The rotation angle of linear multi turn potentiometer has a linear relationship with output resistance, such as line A. It is widely used in current limiting, voltage dividing, timing, impedance matching and other occasions. The rotation angle of the exponential multi turn potentiometer is exponentially related to the output resistance (b), which is carefully selected and then roughly adjusted, such as the volume regulated multi turn potentiometer. The rotation angle of logarithmic multi turn potentiometer is logarithmically related to the output resistance, contrary to exponential multi turn potentiometer (c), which is roughly adjusted before fine-tuning, such as contrast-regulated multi turn potentiometer.
